I. Objectives:
1. To become proficient in the use of a computer 3D solid Modeling Program. This semester we will be using the student version of Light wave by NewTeK. Emphases will be placed on object creation and scene layout. Computer animation will be introduced.
2. To introduce students to CAD drafting using the VectorWorks program from Graph Soft. Mastering the tools student will advance to 3d fly through modeling. Emphases will be placed on mastering drafting conventions that are standard in theatre drafting.
3. To learn Theatre Graphics conventions and develop computer drafting skills necessary for reading and developing technical drawings.
II. CLASS PROCEDURE:
1. Lecture / demonstration

4. Students will need to set aside time to work in the TVRFT Computer Lab

Saturday, February 16, and April 13. Make up data April 20. ( MUST ATTEND Both )4. Class attendance is important since in- class critiques of student projects will be a significant portion of the learning experience. Excess absences (3 or more) will therefore affect the students grade.
