the arts and crafts of the tahitian culture has inspired me to utilize their style in some of my art work. from carving wood in to ancient tattoo designs, the look and style of the art have always amazed me. most of the designs such as a "tiki god" have deeply rooted meaning and stories behind each one.

the sounds of drum beats, ukuleles, banjos, and other tahitian instruments make up a really nice pieces of sound or song when all played together properly. arts and crafts tie into these instruments as wood is carved to portray a nice piece and play a harmonic sound. these instruments are also designed with tahitian art such as "tiki gods" and "turtles." |
tahitian dancing has been a passion of mine for several years now. It has taught me a lot about the culture and the tahitian way of life. the mixture of grace and strong movements create a beautiful and exciting style of dance. the beautiful and colorful costumes along with the drum beats and ukuleles complete this visual pleasing way of dance. |
