The world is becoming smaller. People of various cultures are coming face to face with each other with more frequency with that advance of technology, travel, and trade. To make progress and interact peacefully,we need to start by understanding each other. How do you communicate to understand and interact with people whose cultural backgrounds are different from yours?

Interpersonal Communication

The goal here is to connect with other people. How do we accomplish this? In what ways have you learned to build trusting relationships? How do you express your identity within these relationships?

Performance Studies

People are storytellers. We tell tales and act out scenes in this stage called life. It's through these stories that we understand ourselves and the world around us. By sharing these stories as a form of text, we also express our understading to an audience. Who are the actors in your 'play'? What messages would you convey if you had the opportunity to create a production about our culture? Your cultures?
